The iPhone isn’t the only Apple device missing 1080p output.. the Apple TVs aren’t capable, either. The highest resolution they support is 720p, which is terrible because it means you can’t get 1080p movies from the iTunes Store… so buying movies from Apple is pointless for the time being (unless you want to have to buy them again in a year or two..)
